First of all, my apologies for being very scarce the past few weeks. It seems ever since returning from my trip it’s just been one thing after another. I certainly think I need to blog more at the very least, to have a place to vent. To my viewers, friends, and readers alike, I appreciate very much that you all still support and encourage me to keep doing what I do.
Aside from some more personal real life issues that I really don’t find appropriate to post here, I have had a host of other things contributing to the overall time suck. My dog has been sick on and off, and while nothing is life threatening, it certainly takes a toll on both my nerves, emotions, and bank account. I have also been trying like hell to get my house in order so that I can start putting up holiday decos. I love doing that stuff, despite the fact that I don’t really celebrate the religious holidays I just celebrate the time spent with family and friends.
I’ve also begun working on a new website for my photography portfolio. I started an online course for learning photography and have some great books to assist. I am determined to work hard at this and make it a lucrative side business. I still very much love making videos for TGN and my own youtube, as well as livestreaming. I sincerely appreciate all of the viewers that continue to watch. The sad fact of the matter is, that for my very best month of contributing, I earned about $350. With all of the vet bills, recent upgrade expenses, holidays coming up, and a disgustingly high mortgage, I cannot afford not to try to pull in extra income. The job front, especially out where I live, is slim. This is a good chance for me to supplement what I currently do, but at least to start it will take a toll on how much I upload and stream, at least while I learn and build the new site. I hope you all understand and in the coming weeks I hope to have more of my workload behind me and more spare time to be online with you all!
On a side note, please stay tuned for info regarding my holiday card mailing list! If you would like to get on it before my cards go out this season, follow this blog or my twitter!
This last week has been crazy with my dog being hurt and the uncertainty arising of whether or not I should go to Blizzcon still. She’s doing better now, but unfortunately with disc problems like the one she has, she has to be kept “quiet” meaning 99% of her time is spent safely inside the crate so that she may not further injure herself. I feel bad all of the time, because Harley loves playing and jumping and running around. I know this has to be done though because when I let her do more running around it only sent her back to the ER in pain. Thanks to everyone who has been asking about her and posting kind get well messages. I really appreciate all of your support and patience with me as I take care of her, because she will always trump my work no matter what. I should still be at Blizzcon, barring any more instances with the dog flaring up. I will just worry so much about her if I can’t make sure she is okay before leaving. Thanks again everyone, and hopefully all the craziness of my schedule gets back to normal soon!
So instead of a live Aspect show this evening I will be playing prerecorded show that I worked on for you all that highlights all my favorite moments in WoW and gives you a better idea of my history in the game. I am also thinking Aspect should stay bi-weekly but that is not a definite yet. A lot goes into obtaining guests and organizing each show so it’s still unknown as to whether or not I will be able to do this every week, but if I do go every other week I assure you that in the time slot we will show you something WoW related!
I have gotten several requests to turn former and future episodes of my show Aspect into Podcast form. I am not sure if people just want the audio to listen to or if they want me to make a full blown video podcast. The latter is not likely to happen, since I already upload the video of the show to my youtube channel under this show link: http://www.youtube.com/show/aspectlive. I have however listened to everyone’s feedback and decided to cut each show into 15 minute segments on youtube. I hope this eases any difficulty anyone had in watching the full length shows. As for audio podcasts, I am very interested, but I do need to research the process. Stay tuned, this is likely a feature that is coming up!
Hey you guys! So I was looking into why I really don’t receive responses to tumblr entries and I believe that it is set up to only allow responses from followers of more than 2 weeks. I will try to fix this, as I do love hearing back from you all, but if not an easy workaround for now is to just follow my blog!
I wanted to let everyone know that I recently upgraded my motherboard and CPU and am well on my way to some serious streaming and editing! No longer will I be bound by the hours in a day to only make one video tops! I am so excited to get started and still plan on upgrading things as I go, with the gracious donations that I receive from folks clicking my Paypal donate link on my stream and youtube pages!
Right now I have the Intel Core i7 2600k and a Gigabyte GA-Z68XP mobo. There is plenty of room to grow with this board too, as it can hold up to 32GB of memory and has options for SLI technology. I couldn’t be more excited to have this boost in performance, but ofcourse it does put me in more behind is the business expenditure debt that I hope to pay off after TGN starts paying directors this October.
The Friday Aspect shows are really getting fun to do, and I plan on making each one a new and exciting episode for all the viewers. I am still very green to hosting and interviewing, so bear with me as I learn. I am planning on integrating new features into the coming shows, so make sure to tune in at 10pm EST to my livestream to see what is new each week!
Thanks again to all the past and present supporters. I wouldn’t have the drive to keep building on what I do if it weren’t for you all! <3
Don’t forget tomorrow (Friday) at 10pm EST I will be hosting another live WoW community show “Aspect”! This weeks guests are Nemacyst (DK Tank, guild leader) and Towelliee (pally tank, needs no introduction!). I will keep hosting these shows with hopes that it helps my livestream channel continue to grow! (http://www.twitch.tv/indiegarona)
Tonight I had to scrap the streaming, because I spent all day dealing with some PC issues. It’s inevitable that I need to do a CPU and GPU upgrade. I am hoping to do those asap so I can continue to keep up with production! Good night folks, see you tomorrow! Don’t forget to follow my livestream channel!

It’s no secret that I have been working and building up to making live gaming and video editing a full time gig. Really, it IS very much full time on its own. As October nears I have many goals in mind. TGN will officially start paying directors, and since my own youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/indiegarona) is partnered by them, I will earn revenue on videos I make there as well as for TGN. I couldn’t have gotten this far without the fans and supporters, so first off, thank you all so much.
If you’re reading this, you are already supporting me in my quest! The quest details you ask? To earn enough to keep doing this day in and out. I really don’t want to go back to cleaning people’s teeth, but if I have to I suppose I must. Help keep the ball rolling for me, guys. Subscribe to my channel, as well as any or all of the shows within that channel that interest you! Thumbs up the videos, comment and share also.
Livestreaming.. it has become something I love to do almost if not every night! You guys have to understand that for streaming HD gaming live to be lucrative for me to do this much, I need the viewer counts and those viewers must understand that commercials are a part of that growth with TwitchTV/JTV. I don’t play the ads to annoy people, I genuinely want to grow. To give you an idea of about how much what I have been doing generates (hours of gaming live with 30-60 viewers and commercials every 30mins-1hr) I make about $2.00 a show. While I do put every bit of revenue right back into production with hardware and software purchases, I also have to worry about bills at some point, lol.
I’m going to see where things stand a few months after the first official TGN payout. The quest to make this a full time gig begins now!
Sorry for the delay in updates! Here’s the first video log entry on my new youtube show, “Indie IRL” (http://www.youtube.com/show/indieirl)!
Once I finish my little intro video I will be posting it to my youtube channel. I may or may not be livestreaming with the new cam right away, like I said this is a huge jump for me! The new mic is kickass except I still need a stand and filter for it. Stay tuned!
